Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Vending Classes collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@vendingclass.com.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a password (stored securely by our authentication provider, never in readable form).
- Purchase information: whether you bought a product, and payment identifiers from Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Your saved work: lesson progress, calculator scenarios, location evaluations, inventory plans, notes, and action-plan checklist items.
- Email list information: if you request the free checklist, your email address, when you signed up, and whether you agreed to receive marketing email.
- Technical information: basic data your browser sends to our hosting and service providers, such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages requested.
What not to enter
The tools are for business planning. Please do not enter personal information about customers, students, or other individuals.
How we use information
To create and secure your account, provide access to what you bought, save your work, process payments, respond to support requests, improve the site, and, if you opted in, send education and promotional emails. We do not sell your personal information.
Email and unsubscribing
We send marketing email only to people who agreed to receive it. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to opt out. We may still send essential messages about your account, such as confirmation and password reset emails.
Cookies, browser storage, and tracking
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and remember simple preferences. This is needed for the portal to work. Analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, or the TikTok Pixel) are off until you accept them in the cookie notice, and only if we have switched them on. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you decline, those tools do not load.
Service providers
We rely on providers that process information for us: Supabase (accounts, database, and file storage), Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting), and jsDelivr (delivery of a software library used by the site). If you accept tracking, the analytics and advertising providers you consent to may also receive information. Our email provider will process email addresses if we use one for the checklist and newsletters. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy practices.
How long we keep information
We keep account and purchase records while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and saved work at any time.
Your choices and rights
You can download your saved data and ask for deletion from your account page, or email us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information, to object to marketing, and to complain to a regulator. Email us and we will respond as required by law.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and access controls so that paid content and your saved work are available only to authorized accounts. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your password private and use a unique one.
Children
Vending Classes is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
